40 Leadenhall (completing 2024)

40 Leadenhall is one of the largest schemes to ever receive planning permission in the City of London. Located in the City’s insurance district, it will accommodate up to 10,000 people on completion and feature generous terraces, amenities and wellness spaces – including a library, café, gym and spa – that elevate workers’ everyday office experience. Our 34-storey design recalls the classic North American skyscrapers of the early 20th century. The building form responds to its surroundings, with a stepped massing that terraces down towards the River Thames and adjacent conservation areas. Combining new and old, the scheme also sensitively integrates the Grade II-listed 19–21 Billiter Street building, which will house wellness facilities and a public restaurant.

One Leadenhall (completing 2025)

This new tower is bringing 40,000m² of office accommodation, a public terrace and ground floor retail to an important corner in the City of London. The 35-storey building is currently taking shape next to the Grade II-listed Leadenhall Market, on the site of the ancient Roman Forum, an area home to several important City structures, including the Lloyd’s building and medieval churches St Michael Cornhill and St Peter upon Cornhill. Our design embraces the heritage of this unique setting and complements the surrounding architecture in scale, proportion and materials. The 4-storey masonry ‘street block’ reflects characteristics of similarly sized neighbouring buildings, while the three glazed ‘blades’ atop it stagger in response to the City Cluster to the north and the lower-rise buildings to the south.

Brookfield Place Sydney (completed 2021)

Our design for Brookfield Place Sydney unites a new 6 Star Green Star-rated office tower, two restored heritage buildings, premium retail spaces and a world-class transit hall. We unlocked the site by raising and suspending the central core, using mega-columns in the boundary walls to support the building’s shear load. This design move created a new triple-height ‘urban hall’ filled with daylight as well as a new pedestrian route across the full 25m width of the site. Our contemporary civic design prioritises public space and is grounded in our strong understanding of how people move around the city. Brookfield Place Sydney won Best Tall Office Building at the 2022 CTBUH Awards.

Victoria Coast (completed 2023)

We've retrofitted this residential development comprising two towers atop a single podium in Hong Kong's neighbourhood of Pok Fu Lam, on the island's west side. Our design includes a major renovation of the facades and outdoor areas, plus refurbished interiors for 120 residential units, the clubhouse, and front-of-house areas. Externally, the retained structure has a new curtain wall system of integrated architectural fins that express the building’s verticality. From the inside out, our design takes advantage of the incredible views to the sea and dramatic verdant mountainside.

Amory Tower (completed 2021)

For this award-winning 53-storey development in London’s Docklands, we worked with a contractor to integrate prefabrication throughout construction. This significantly reduced material waste and installation time while improving health and safety on site. We used modular construction techniques for utility cupboards, stairs, services and bathroom pods, which enabled high-quality factory construction across the project. Using a hexagonal grid to achieve a slender tower, we were able to maximise the floorplates with dual-aspect apartments while opening up 70% of the site as public realm. Amory Tower won Best Residential Tall Building Project at the 2022 Tall Buildings Awards.
