Our redesign of Harrods’ Menswear department is Make’s fourth project for the flagship London department store. We’ve reconnected this lower-ground space to the store’s main retail area and transformed it into a generous hall with a unique but distinctly ‘Harrods’ identity.
We began by raising the ceiling height to increase the sense of space and installing a softly coffered ceiling that references the nearby Art Deco staircase and lift lobby. We also realigned the entrances with our newly renovated Hans Crescent Escalator Hall to improve visual connections and customer flow. Finally, we rationalised the mechanical services to deliver more retail space. Along with larger clothing and accessories collections and a new front-of-house space, the department now offers an unparalleled selection of lifestyle brands, a dedicated monogramming service and a private made-to-measure fitting room.
