Last night at the British Council for Offices (BCO) national awards dinner, BCO president Ken Shuttleworth gave the President’s Award to renowned journalist Paul Finch.
Paul was one of the first to publicly acknowledge the importance of office design for broader society and has long campaigned for them on behalf of our industry. He appreciates how these buildings can spur on further regeneration, how they contribute to society, to the public realm and how they can raise aspirations.
Paul has many strings to his bow: he has an OBE, he is an honoury fellow of UCL and BCO, and he was a founding commissioner of CABE. He established the World Architecture Festival ten years ago, which continues to attract hundreds of architects from across the globe every year.
We are delighted for him and thank him for all he has done for commercial real estate in the UK.
