Designed by Make on behalf of Skanska, The Monument Building acts as a contemporary new backdrop to the famous historic landmark and has replaced three outdated commercial buildings with a nine-storey Grade A office block.
The southern elevation, facing the Monument, provides the main entrance to the building and has a full height curtain of vertically-suspended, twisted metal ribbons which act as a spectacular setting to the Monument, as well as providing 23% solar shading to the south facade.
The Monument was designed by Sir Christopher Wren and Robert Hooke to commemorate the Great Fire of 1666.
