On 10 March we hosted a drinks reception in our studio on behalf of Freehold, the property industry’s leading LGBT networking group. Jason Parker kicked things off with an introduction to the practice before handing over to Chantel Mills-Callard, LandAid’s head of fundraising and partnerships, and Freehold co-founder David Mann. Chantel discussed LandAid’s recent work, while David spoke of Freehold’s continued growth and importance within the industry. The raffle, with prizes including a sketch by Ken Shuttleworth, raised an incredible £925 for LandAid.
Since launching in September 2011, Freehold counts over 800 professionals among its ranks, including building surveyors, valuation surveyors, agency surveyors, asset managers, architects, developers, investors and property lawyers, from both the public and private sector, and at all stages of their careers. Backed by charity Stonewall, Freehold aims to address the equality gap within the property industry for people who identify as LGBT.
We are very proud to be the first architecture practice to host a Freehold event and will continue to support the group’s ongoing mission.
