The London Society are continuing their run of talks on London icons with two exciting design topics: the black cab and the Routemaster bus.
Design critic Stephen Bayley will discuss how the black cab, like most institutions, is both drenched in attractive tradition and hobbled by a bone-headed refusal to innovate. Never mind Uber, 20 years ago the black cab business failed to anticipate the systematic improvements that the internet promised.
