Make Architects resigns from the St Michael’s project in Manchester

Make Architects confirms that it has resigned from the St Michael’s project in Manchester. The project was originally conceived by Gary Neville to be an ambitious mixed use development for the city, intended to kick-start the regeneration of the area adjacent to Manchester’s town hall. Having worked on the scheme for the last decade, Make believes its involvement has reached a natural conclusion.

Make founder Ken Shuttleworth said: “We’ve been totally committed to the evolution of the scheme and have continued to work on revised proposals, but we feel that the current direction does not align with our ambition for the site and it is right to step aside. St Michael’s is an important project for Manchester and we wish Gary Neville and his team every success in bringing it to fruition.”
